SS'12 NY - September 14th

3.1 PJILLIP LIM
Taken constructuion to a whole new notch. If you go through the collection it looks really simple, lovely but simple. But if you look closely the details in them garments are amazing, it's that denim vest it looks normal, when you check it out up close, it has all this new ideas into it.

CHADO RALPH RUCCI
A very chic collection for evening wear mostly. Very glamorous, it even reminded me of the old hollywood glamour.

ELIE TAHARI
I loved the game with proportions on this collection. Mixing structured coats with flowy dresses is always a favorite of mine.

GAP
Gap is going through a lot of changes and trying to reposition itself in the market. I  could totally see the change in their clothes and by change I mean improvement. They're much more hip and modern. Perfect for the everyday, simple but still stylish.

J. MENDEL
Beautiful collection. Minimalistic and so elegant. The details were beautiful and very subtle. If I could I totally would have all of the collection in my closet.

MICHAEL KORS
Michael Kors. Hum.. it was not my favorite collection from him, a little bit to safari for me. Of course there were some pieces that I really liked, especially the bathing suits.

PHILOSOPHY
Like always a very romantic, dreamy and feminine collection.

PORTS 1961
Minimalistic, simple yet daring. Really liked it.

PROENZA SCHOULER
It was almost as if we had retroceded a few decades. Definetely retro and subtly glamorous.

REED KRAKOFF
I loved this. The materials used in this collection are exquisite. Again very simple and minimalistic but so elegant ant put together.

SS'12 NY - September 13th

BADGLEY MISCHKA
As always Badgley Mischka's collection for spring, summer is very glamorous. Done for a city, sophisticated girl/woman. I loved the mix of the turquoise with the mettalic.

BIBHU MOHAPATRA
Subtle is the word that best describes this collection. Most trends were present in this collection but done in a subtle and classy way.

DIESEL BLACK LABEL
Going back to basics. This collection was intended by the designer to be very true to the brand main style. Using some cool materials and colors, it played a lot with layering and proportions.

J. CREW

I've liked J. Crew clothes for a while now and this collection did not let me down. It was chic yet fun, girly yet boyish, sophisticated yet retro. The bottom line is I want it!

KAREN WALKER
Clean and easy going. This collection is very wearable and yet with little effort completely put together.

MICHAEL ANGEL
I gotta be honest I have never heard of this brand but I really, really liked the collection. The prints were amazing without being overwelming, the mix of fabrics was really cool and on top of that the pictures were just great.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA
I had a bit of difficulty selection this looks and it wasn't because I didn't like them but rather that I liked so many of them.I loved the puffy skirts paired with cropped tops. The only thing that let me a bit confused was that a lot of the looks looked like they could be on the fall, winter collection. But beautiful though.

RODARTE
I'm sure the designers must feel the pressure, there has been a lot of expection of this brand in ther past few seasons. I was dying over this collection, there were some looks that I liked, but honestly I didn't love it like I loved the fall/winter...

THEYSKEN'S THEORY
I don't think this collection needs any "explanation". It is what it is, and what it is, is pretty amazing. And I'm sure that every girl that sees it, wants to look just like that.

TIBI
Tibi always offer good fundamental pieces for our wardrobe. Clean, simple looks but this time she also mixed it up a bit with materials and played with printed fabrics, like the "pajamas" pants mixed with the leather top on the last look.

VERA WANG
I wasn't expecting this from Wang's collection. It had a lot of futuristic garment's but still with the what she's known for, feminine and flowy.

SS'12 NY - September 12th

ARAKS
Suits with shorts and bottom up shirt are without a doubt one of the biggest trends emerging, they have appeared in almost every show. And Araks was no excuse, presenting us with some really good choices. I loved the prints!

CARLOS MIELE
Beautiful glamorous fabrics and sillhouettes were offered by Carlos Miele as it was already expected. I especially liked the cover-ups offered for swuimwear.

DONNA KARAN
I really enjoyed this show, I actually love Donna Karan wether it is this label or DKNY. The pieces are just so wasy to wear, you don't have to much thought into it and yet you'll look amazing. I'm especially dying over the bathingsuit.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS
MARC by Marc Jacobs is Marc Jacobs collection for a public younger than the average Marc Jacob's women. With that said, this collection was fun and bubbly. Though there werent' a lot of patterns, the colors were fun and young.

OHNE TITEL
This was an interesting collection. I loved the geometric patterns and shapes created. The feather necklaces were definetely a win for the show.

RACHEL ROY
Without no doubt Rachel Roy likes dressing a feminin woman. This collection reflected that very well, we saw some of the emerging trends, like the printed pants, but the whole look was very girly, not following the trend girl meets boy. Which is actually kind of cool.

RACHEL ZOE
This was Zoe's first fashion week presentation. And in my opinion a good start, not the strongest collection I've seen during the week BUT it definetely had some good pieces and the styling was right on the money (as it should be or isn't she one of the most famous stylists).

REEM ACRA
Reem knows how to dress a powerful yet glamorous and sophisticated woman. Beautiful ornamentation in the garments.

ZERO + MARIA CORNEJO
I'm becoming a big fan of this designer. All the collection was really pretty, the colors screamed summer, the clothes were flowy. Minimalist, but it totally works for me!

SS'12 NY - September 11th

DEREK LAM
Having Palm Springs as an inspiration this collection was very wearable. Future made with retro in mind.

DIANE VON FUSTENBERG
A beautiful note on this show, is that at the end when the designer came for her bow she handed out american flags in memory of 9/11. This collection had amazing color coordination, I especially loved the three colors used on the two first looks above. There were also this dress that looks one above the other made in many different colors and fabrics (last one of the sequence).

DKNY
We all know DKNY is known for it's young flavorness. This collection was no expection, presenting a comfortable yet chic and breeze spring collection that we could already see all the city girls strouting through the town.

EDUN
Africa came to NYC. Not to dramatic but if you look closely you can see the subtle details. Yup, you're right! I can see them again long shorts peeking out of that dress  in the second outfit ...

JEN KAO
A lot of creativeness in this show. I guess it's not visible in the looks I'm showing you but the desginer worked Paper-Cut Designers in some origamilike head pieces. A very fun and easy collection that most girls will find appealing.

JIL SANDER NAVY
Jil Sander Navy is the lowest price line of the designer. Scouties you can start looking for your new uniform the designer had you guys in mind!

LELA ROSE
Beautiful romantic dresses and gown were the high of this collection.

THAKOON
Woohoo and the cowgirls are in town. This was not my favorite collection from Thakoon but there were still some pieces that I wouldn't mind (and I do really mean that) to have in my closet!

TOMMY HILFIGER
Tough I wasnt head over heals with this collection either, I was actually in love with some of it. The shirt dresses and the jumpsuits were just lovely.

ZAC POSEN
Vavavun! The Zac Posen women this spring will be even more sexy and glamorous than it was last year. Beautiful garmits that made me reminde of the hollywood old glamour.
